Course:Natural Dyeing Workshop: Madder Reds

National Wool Museum

Join us for a special natural dye workshop to celebrate 50 years of the National Wool Museum.  We will be using plants from the Museum Dye garden to create the iconic red from madder and trial lady’s bedstraw and Caucasian crosswort.  These plants are only harvested every 3 years.  By adding modifiers you will experiment to make a range of samples in different shades.

This is a relaxed day, suitable for beginners and the more experienced.  All materials and equipment will be provided including masks, gloves, aprons and goggles.

Please wear suitable clothes and closed shoes.
