Step back in time and meet Johnny Lewis, the real-life owner of Cambrian Mills, now the home of the National Wool Museum, from the 1920s to the 1950s.
Join us for a special day of history, storytelling and hands-on fun as Johnny comes to life through a costumed actor - Tudur Phillips. Local Ysgol Penboyr school pupils worked with writer Anni Llŷn and members of Stori Fawr Drefach Felindre to uncover Johnny’s story through research helping to bring the character to life.
Hear fascinating tales of mill life and discover the important role Cambrian Mills played in the local community.
Take a guided tour with Johnny and discover the journey from fleece to fabric. As you explore the Museum you will see our historic machinery in action just as they would have done in the mills’ heyday.
Don’t forget to drop in for some creative crafts with our museum team, and be among the first to enjoy our refreshed Make and Create Space- designed for imagination, making and community creativity.
