John Scarlett Davis died 29 September 1845 at 11 Bedford Street, Bedford Square and is buried at All Souls< Kensal Green (see G. Watkin Williams, 'The Life and Works of John Scarlett Davis (1804-1845)', Old Water-Colour Society's Club, XLV, 1970, pp. 9-28.
