Event:Big Pit's Big Bash

Join us for a day full of music, food & fun... to kick off the summer with a bang!  

This year we've extended our opening hours, so you can enjoy even more music into the evening.

Pit Portraits Family activity. Join us for an interactive workshop where the whole family can dress up as colliers, tip girls, modern miners and more and have their portrait taken! £5 per group.

An opportunity to meet Butty Bear and grab a selfie.

Blacksmithing demonstrations from our resident Blacksmith, Len. 

The World-Famous Underground Tour, Pithead Baths Exhibition, King Coal: The Mining Experience and much more!
