Event:Dementia Friendly Activity: Woolly Mammoth

National Museum Cardiff

Join us at National Museum Cardiff to learn more about our latest instalment, the replica woolly mammoth skeleton, now on show in our Main Hall. 3D scanning and printing were used to recreate the full size extinct Woolly Mammoth skeleton to help us understand this amazing pre-historic animal and the world that he lived in 14,000 years ago. Following this, there will be a light craft activity.

The session involves:

  • A warm welcome in a dedicated space
  • An opportunity to take part in a light craft activity
  • A warm drink and a chat

The session will take place within the museum so there are not any long distances to walk. It lasts approximately 2.5 hours with breaks and refreshments will be provided at the museum café.

Information on accessibility at National Museum Cardiff can be found here.

These opportunities are only open to those living with dementia and those supporting people living with dementia.
