Event:Movies at the Museum: Singin' in the Rain (U)

National Museum Cardiff

Amgueddfa Cymru returns with a unique and immersive evening in the golden age of cinema!

Our historic and decadent Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre will be transformed into a by-gone era. In the company of Kitsch & Sync Collective’s Usherettes, you’ll be guided to your seats for a feast of flicks, capped off with our feature presentation: the 1952 musical classic Singin’ in the Rain.

So, what can you expect?

  • Be guided into our cinema by Kitsch & Sync Collective, whose fabulously ditsy usherettes' performance will entertain you pre-show as they escort you down the aisles!
  • A truly vintage cinema offering including a classic cartoon.
  • Savour your sweet tooth with popcorn, confectionery and beverages from our pop-up bar.
  • A theatre transformed: from era-defining music to imagery of the museum in its historic heyday.
  • Lights, camera ready ... take your seats ... it’s action time this summer!
