Cassie Davies (1898-1988)

Tregaron, Ceredigion

Born at Cae Tudur, a small mountain farm in Blaen Caron, near Tregaron. From 1923 to 1938 she was a lecturer at the Barry College of Education, and then from 1938 to 1958, an Inspector of Schools, with special responsibility for the teaching of Welsh. She was very well known as a producer of plays and feature programmes and for her remarkable gift of speech to entertain audiences on stage and radio.
