Miniature linen shirt

Minature dress shirt, about 1850. Probably made as an apprentice master piece by tailor.
Plain weave linen, square cut with side slits and gussets. Sleeves gathered into shoulder with gussets underarms. Simple button on cuffs, with minature hand stitched buttonholes and covered buttons. Very fine plain weave muslin shirt front set-in at neckline, with pleated front. Folded collar with single buttonhole.
