Part of a long rectangular tile, glazed white dust-pressed earthenware, printed to imitate three separate square tiles; the top and bottom squares with an ochre ground overprinted and enamelled in iron red in imitation of an encaustic tile and bearing the Gothic monogram 'MB' charged with the trefoil of Biddulph for Middelton Biddulph, the middle square printed and enamelled with the arms of Myddelton of Chirk, argent on a bend vert three wolves' heads erased of the field.
