Cardigan
Woman's cardigan, 1940s. Hand- knitted in cream double knitting wool, no welt. Top of sleeves slightly puffed, front edge and sleeves edged with blue and red crochet; knitting pattern on body and sleeves: rows of cable on a purl ground. Yoke and upper arms are embroidered in mercerised cotton with red and blue flowers and yellow acorns. One hole on right front (cut yarn). Front fastening. Nine button holes with nine clear plastic buttons, fastening to neck.
