What should I do if I find something in Wales that may be Treasure?

All finds of Treasure must be reported to a Coroner responsible for the district in which they were found as a legal requirement. This must be done within 14 days of the date when they were found, or within 14 days of you realizing the find might be treasure. To report your find, you may:

If living in England and reporting a find from Wales, you may report the find via your local PAS Finds Liaison Officer Scheme contacts

PAS Cymru and PAS England staff will report your find to the Treasure Registry at Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales on your behalf, where the find will be logged and tracked through the Treasure reporting process.

Staff of the Treasure Registry at Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales will next report your find to the relevant Coroner on your behalf. They will contact you and work with you, to get the details of the find recorded in good time.
