New Director of Artes Mundi reveals shortlist for the UK’s biggest contemporary art prize

The shortlist for the sixth Artes Mundi Prize was announced today (12 December 2013) by Karen MacKinnon, Artes Mundi’s new Director & Curator. It includes outstanding artists from eight countries:Carlos Bunga (Portugal), Karen Mirza and Brad Butler (UK), Omer Fast (Israel), Theaster Gates (USA), Sanja Iveković (Croatia), Ragnar Kjartansson (Iceland), Sharon Lockhart (USA), Renata Lucas (Brazil), Renzo Martens (The Netherlands).

National Waterfront Museum Expands Conferencing Facilities

Swansea’s National Waterfront Museum is holding a launch event for its new conferencing facility overlooking the city’s Marina.

The Ocean Room will officially open on 28 November and event organisers from throughout Swansea and Neath Port Talbot are invited to view the venue, enjoy a free lunch and access exclusive discounts for future bookings.
