Rules, Regulations and Etiquette

If you are unsure whether a group member is able to participate in any activity, or if you have any questions, please ask a member of staff before your group participates in CoedLan activities.

  1. CoedLan activities are challenging and there is the risk of injury.  To minimise this risk you should ensure that you are reasonably fit and healthy.
  2. You must listen to and follow the directions and instructions of your instructor.
  3. You must use the safety equipment provided by us in accordance with the directions of your instructor. 
  4. You must either be over 130cm tall or you must be between 110cm and 130cm tall and be assisted during your Coedlan activities by a taller person (who is over 130cm tall and aged 12 plus)  
  5. You must be under 18 stone (115kg).  
  6. Whilst participating in the CoedLan activities, you must not do anything (or omit to do anything) which may cause damage or loss to our property, to the facilities or to other participants and does not cause nuisance, annoyance, disturbance, inconvenience or injury to anyone else.
  7. You must ensure that you follow all notices, instructions and warnings published on site or communicated to you by CIWW representatives. 
  8. Anyone who appears to an instructor to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to participate in CoedLan activities.
  9. All children under 130cm must be accompanied by an adult who remains at the CoedLan site while the child participates in CoedLan activities (ratio 1 adult to 2 children, an adult is classed as 18yrs+). 
  10. All persons under the age of 18 years (‘Under 18’s’) will require a completed Medical Consent Form and Safety and Risk Declaration (the Declaration) signed by an appropriate parent or legal guardian before being allowed to participate in CoedLan activities. 
  11. All hair must be tied back and loose items (i.e. drawstrings) must be tucked into clothing or removed.
  12. All jewellery must be removed, and pockets emptied (rings that cannot be removed must be taped over to minimise associated risks).
  13. Only Instructors must adjust safety equipment after fitting.
  14. No more than ONE person must be on each element and TWO persons on each platform at any one time.
  15. Zip Line and the landing net must be clear of other users before leaving the starting platform
  16. You must hold lanyards on Zip Lines.
  17. Only move in one direction along the course.
