Visit the Life Is… gallery to experience ‘Something New’. 

Our partners from Innovate Trust  and purpleSTARS will be here to take you on a sensory tour.

Take part in a ‘Sensory Treasure Quest’ - experience the past through your senses and discover something new about some of the gallery objects. 


Join us on the day for an inclusive fantasy role play quest – ‘Operation Dragon’. Become one of the historical characters from the gallery and unlock their sensory powers to restore the spirit of Wales. Let your imagination run wild! Role-play game from 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm.

Opening Hours

10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. 12 month season ticket available. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.

Due to the historical nature of the site, please note the following potential hazards:

  • Water ponds and pools
  • Trip hazard on uneven paths and steps
  • Slippery surface paths, slopes and grassed areas
