Come and join us for a celebration of Chinese culture and heritage through music, dance, crafts, games and more.

What to expect –

  • Live performances - From the thundering rhythm of the Lion and Dragon Dances to the elegance of instrument performances, enjoy traditional music and dance.
  • Mini Market and Food Stalls - Browse a vibrant selection of crafts, accessories, and decorations inspired by Chinese culture, and enjoy delicious Chinese food.
  • Dress-up corner - try on traditional Chinese clothing that is perfect for a selfie.
  • Arts and Crafts Workshops - Try your hand at traditional Chinese crafts- fun for all ages and skill levels.
  • Tea tasting station - Sip a selection of Chinese teas, completely free for all to enjoy.
  • Enjoy short presentations exploring Chinese culture including ones on traditional dance and the culture China has shared with Wales.

The event will be delivered in partnership with Chinese In Wales Association (CIWA) ) and Cardiff University’s Confucius Institute and is free for all to attend.

Safety Information for Visitors

Due to the historical nature of the site, please note the following potential hazards:

  • Water ponds and pools
  • Trip hazard on uneven paths and steps
  • Slippery surface paths, slopes and grassed areas

 Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. 12 month season ticket available for £45. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Visiting by public transport, bike or foot?

You can plan your journey using the Traveline Cymru website or by calling their helpline on 0800 464 0000.

 Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
