Exhibition:Making Waves – RNLI Cymru 200

National Waterfront Museum

Information

22 June 2024 – 1 June 2025
Cost Free
Suitability All

As the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) turns 200 we reflect on its enormous contribution to safety at sea around the Welsh coastline, with countless numbers of lives having been saved.

From shipping disasters to stranded holidaymakers, the types of rescues have significantly changed and with that so has the equipment needed to carry them out.

Discover the story of the innovative boat that was designed and built in Wales's Atlantic College and the stories from the people that used them.

This is one of two exhibitions in Wales to celebrate this special year, the collaboration between Oriel y Parc, the RNLI and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority also sees displays at Oriel y Parc, National Park Discovery Centre in St Davids.
