Course:Introduction to Spinning: From Fleece to Fabric
Join Non Mitchell, Crafts Person at the National Wool Museum, for an Introduction to Spinning.
This one-day course will include sorting the wool, Carding and Blending, followed by various methods of Spinning, using the Drop Spindle, Spinning Wheels and Peg Loom Weaving to create a small cushion pad to take home.
- You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit our on-site catering facilities.
- All tickets for this event must be purchased in advance.
- This course takes place at National Wool Museum. Use postcode SA44 5UP for satnav.
- Age Restriction: 16+. (16-18 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult)
- This course will be held in English

Eat, drink, shop
- Between 3 – 17 September the museum café will only be serving teas, coffees and cakes. We’re sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment and thank you for your understanding. Please note that the museum café closes at 3pm.
- The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic , while there’s nowhere to eat these within the museum, there are benches outside which make for a nice spot.
