National Wool Museum

Tickets on sale soon!

Join expert craftsperson Non Mitchell at the National Wool Museum for a practical introduction to transforming fleece into fabric.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll discover how raw fleece is transformed into yarn as you explore a range of traditional techniques and equipment. Have a go at using drop spindles, spinning wheels, as well as peg-loom weaving, while learning about the skills and processes that have been at the heart of Wales’ textile heritage for generations.

By the end of the session, you’ll have created a small cushion pad to take home. This workshop is suitable for beginners, and all materials are provided.
