Event:Pattern Festival

Join us as we celebrate 50 years of the National Wool Museum and Campaign for Wool and British Wool Month with a special festival exploring the patterns woven through Wales’s woollen heritage.

From the distinctive designs of traditional Welsh blankets to the patterns and rhythms found in weaving, stories, art and music, enjoy a day of demonstrations, living history, creativity and discovery.

See the Museum come to life with historic machinery and looms in action, traditional textile skills and demonstrations. Meet local woollen makers and discover more about the patterns, people and stories at the heart of Wales’s woollen industry.

There will be storytelling, live music, opportunities to meet a living history character from Cambrian Mills, a closer look at the Museum's textile collection, creative activities for all ages including the official opening of the Weaving Shed.
