Event:The Miners Lamp Collectors Society - 'Little Meet'
The Miners Lamp Collectors Society, Collectors Fair, ‘Little Meet’ comes to Big Pit!
Join us for this free event offering miners lamps sales, swaps & advice.
The Miners Collectors Lamp Society, established in 2007, is run as a non-profit making enterprise by dedicated collectors of miners' lamps. The aim is the preservation, for the future, of this part of our amazing coal mining and economic history.
They society hold the annual ‘Big Meet’ in June at Pleasley Colliery, near Mansfield. This is followed by the ‘Little Meet’ in October at a different coal-related location, and we’re delighted to host it at Big Pit this year.
The Little Meet will be held in The Coity Room in the Pithead Baths building.
