Wales is… Hip Hop explores the evolution of the genre and artform in Wales. Come and experience the music, dance and fashion, told through the lens of the people who have made it their own in Wales.
Discover the performers, dancers, DJs, MCs, graffiti artists and community pioneers who have helped build and sustain the scene across generations.
Join us in celebrating Hip Hop's past, present and future, and explore how this global movement continues to leave its mark on communities throughout Wales.
Please note: this display forms part of the Wales is… gallery. It is a condensed presentation and not the full Hip Hop: A Welsh Story exhibition originally shown at National Museum Cardiff in 2025–26.

Parking
If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. 12 month season ticket available for £45. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop
- Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit.
- The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
