Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales is committed to complying with the Welsh Language Standards, as set out by the Welsh Government under Section 44 of the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011.
These Standards set clear expectations on us to provide services in Welsh to the public, and to promote the use of the Welsh language.
We used to report annually on our implementation of the language plan. We will now produce and publish annual reports on our compliance with the Welsh Language Standards.
We have created a Welsh Language Policy to ensure that we, as a public body in Wales, comply with the Welsh Language Standards and promote the use of the Welsh language.
This document notes the Standards with which Amgueddfa Cymru has to comply.
Every year, we will publish a monitoring report on the Welsh language which will detail how we comply with the Welsh language standards, as well as other developments regarding the Welsh language and our work.
We have produced guidelines for using a simultaneous translator/interpreter with the videoconferencing platform Zoom. They have been designed for Amgueddfa Cymru meetings but you are welcome to use them for your own bilingual meetings or events. Please make sure you follow security guidelines when using Zoom.
