Event:The Wonderful Science of Wool!

National Wool Museum

Tickets will be released soon!

Become a young wool scientist and discover the amazing properties hidden within a sheep’s fleece!

Through hands-on experiments, investigate what happens as wool is transformed from fleece into fabric. Test how springy wool really is, explore how twisting and felting make fibres stronger, and uncover the secrets of water-repelling lanolin.

After a biscuit and squash break, head into the Museum garden to discover the wonderful world of natural dyes and learn how plants can be used to colour wool and other materials.

Enjoy a fun-filled morning of science, discovery and creativity for curious young minds.

The activities will be facilitated by The Big Science Project and professional natural dyer, Susan Martin.
